The most iconic colour is "Natural" and is known all over the world. Another popular variation is "Flecked Cream".
Can I still order if the sweater I want is sold out?
Yes.
You can place an order for your chosen size and colour even if it has sold out. Your order will be added to our back-order list and it will be processed as soon as possible. You will be notified every step of the way via email.
If you need it by a particular time frame, please add a note to your order when you get to the checkout section. There is a specific "add a note" box.
If we cannot meet this timeline, your order will be refunded and you will be notified.
What size should I buy?
Standard fit and length. This is not a form fitting sweater and is typically worn loose.
Size up for an oversized look.

How do I care for this sweater!
1. Hand Wash for Best Results
Wool, especially the high-quality wool used in Aran sweaters, benefits from gentle washing. Hand washing is the safest way to clean your sweater.
- Step 1: Fill a basin or sink with cool or lukewarm water.
- Step 2: Add a mild wool detergent or a gentle soap. Avoid regular laundry detergents, as they can be too harsh for the wool fibers.
- Step 3: Submerge the sweater in the soapy water, gently pressing it down without twisting or wringing. Let it soak for 10-15 minutes to loosen any dirt.
- Step 4: Drain the water and rinse the sweater under cool running water until the detergent is completely washed out.
2. Avoid Agitation and Heat
One of the most important tips for washing your Aran sweater is to avoid agitation and heat. Wool is prone to shrinking when exposed to high temperatures or rough handling, so never use hot water or a washing machine unless the care label specifies otherwise.
3. Dry Flat to Prevent Stretching
After washing your sweater, it’s crucial to dry it correctly to preserve its shape.
- Step 1: Lay the sweater flat on a clean, dry towel.
- Step 2: Gently roll the towel to press out excess water, but never wring or twist the sweater.
- Step 3: Reshape the sweater, paying special attention to the neckline and arms.
- Step 4: Lay the sweater flat on another dry towel or drying rack in a cool, shaded area. Never hang your sweater to dry, as this can cause it to stretch.
4. Storage Tips for Your Aran Sweater
Proper storage is key to keeping your Aran sweater in top condition.
- Step 1: Fold your sweater rather than hanging it to prevent stretching.
- Step 2: Store in a breathable cotton bag or in a drawer with cedar blocks to protect it from moths and other pests.
- Step 3: Avoid storing your sweater in plastic bags, as wool needs to breathe.
5. Can You Machine Wash Your Aran Sweater?
No, we recommend handwashing your Aran sweater. Our Aran sweaters are made from real wool, which is delicate and prone to shrinking or losing its shape when subjected to machine washing. Even on a gentle or wool cycle, the agitation and risk of heat exposure can damage the natural fibers. To preserve the quality and longevity of your Aran knit, always hand wash in cool water and handle with care.

If you are unhappy with your sweater you can exchange it for an alternate size / colour or any other item from our store. You can also exchange for store credit which is in the form of a digital gift card. We do not offer refunds.

Import Tariffs
All import tariffs are calculated after your order has been received. This is a seperate fee, calculated by border control based on the item purchased. We will invoice you for separately for this fee. Shipments will not be sent until this fee is paid in full. No exceptions. This law was enforced on Aug 29th 2025.
