Dublin.
These fabulous modern aran cardigans are made by a small company in Dublin, Ireland. We import them directly from the maker to our store in Toronto. The price you pay incudes shipping fees and import duties that are charged upon arrival into Canada.
Are there other colours available?
Yes.
We stock a selection of colours. Please search for "Clover Cropped Cardigan" and all options will be shown; Pale Pink, Green Marl, Dark Night and Sage Marl.
Can I still order if the sweater I want is sold out?
Yes.
When placing your order, please assume all sizes are in stock unless stated otherwise.
You can place an order for your chosen size and colour even if it has sold out. Your order will be added to our back-order list and it will be processed as soon as possible. You will be notified every step of the way via email.
If you need it by a particular time frame, please add a note to your order when you get to the checkout section. There is a specific "add a note" box.
If we cannot meet this timeline, your order will be refunded and you will be notified.
What size should I buy?
Standard fit, cropped length: as per the images shown. This is not a form fitting sweater and is typically worn loose. It has loose "balloon" style sleeves and a fitted cuff.
Size up for an oversized look.
We would advise choosing your regular size but please reach out to us with your size measurements if you are unsure and we will assist you with your choice.
How do I care for this sweater!
1. Hand Wash for Best Results
Wool, especially the high-quality wool used in Aran sweaters, benefits from gentle washing. Hand washing is the safest way to clean your sweater.
- Step 1: Fill a basin or sink with cool or lukewarm water.
- Step 2: Add a mild wool detergent or a gentle soap. Avoid regular laundry detergents, as they can be too harsh for the wool fibers.
- Step 3: Submerge the sweater in the soapy water, gently pressing it down without twisting or wringing. Let it soak for 10-15 minutes to loosen any dirt.
- Step 4: Drain the water and rinse the sweater under cool running water until the detergent is completely washed out.
2. Avoid Agitation and Heat
One of the most important tips for washing your Aran sweater is to avoid agitation and heat. Wool is prone to shrinking when exposed to high temperatures or rough handling, so never use hot water or a washing machine unless the care label specifies otherwise.
3. Dry Flat to Prevent Stretching
After washing your sweater, it’s crucial to dry it correctly to preserve its shape.
- Step 1: Lay the sweater flat on a clean, dry towel.

No, we recommend handwashing your Aran sweater. Our Aran sweaters are made from real wool, which is delicate and prone to shrinking or losing its shape when subjected to machine washing.
